#14 The Black’s Side

Art should be used in a way that portrays black people in less darker lights. Black people should take the chance to tell their own story, not letting others tell their story for them. They should show how they see the world, and how they want the world to see them. black people should not expect or wait for validation from other people before they can tell their story and show what they can do. The African philosophy is simple and tries to answer a few questions: what does it mean to be a human being? How can you be the other person’s guardian and protector? You live because the other person lives. You may disagree and even fight. But it is done in the spirit of togetherness. You don’t exist if you don’t allow the other to thrive. That is the story of the black people’s experience.
