About Amanda:

Dr. Amanda Yeh obtained her B.A. in English from Washington State University, her M.A. in applied linguistics from Boston University, her Ed. M. Teachers College from Columbia University, and her Ph.D. in Literacy, Culture and Language Education from Indiana University. Amanda’s major areas of interests are:

  • Critical literacy in second/foreign language learning
  • Critical writing pedagogy
  • Qualitative research methods in English language teaching and learning (including specific interest in: collective biography, narrative inquiry, and critical ethnography)
  • Language Teacher Education and Teacher Identity Research

Amanda in her own words: “My area of specialization is English literacy and language education. I have teaching experience for more than 10 years, mostly in English writing for academic purposes to graduate students from diverse disciplines, English presentations for international conferences/seminars, and college reading and writing courses in various universities in Taiwan. I also help students with preparation for English language tests, including TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS, and SAT/ACT.”
