About Jaime:

Jaime Blakeley received her master’s degree in Psychology with a specialization in Consciousness, Spirituality, and Integrative Health focusing on Yoga Psychology and the application of Ashtanga Yoga as an adjunct treatment for PTSD and complex trauma. Jaime also received a religious doctorate in Metaphysics, where her thesis and dissertation were on the subtle body systems of Hatha and Tantra Yoga as a psychological framework for life transformation. After progressing through two separate Reiki training courses until Master level, J’aime chose to write her own manual for subtle body and energy work including her own experience with shamanism, Yoga, and psychology to form a unique and intuitive method of working with the physical and subtle body systems in a healing modality.

Yogini J’aime Blakely has been practicing and studying the art of Classic Yoga for the last 14 years.  She has studied several styles of Asana practice extensively in the US, Mexico, and in India — including Ashtanga, Hatha, Vinyasa, and Anusara — and has several teaching certifications in Hatha and Ashtanga formats in addition to countless hours of intensive workshop and individual personal training with revered Yogis and Yoginis from around the world.  Having been initiated into a lineage of Himalayan Yogis, her personal focus is on the practice of Ashtanga Yoga as detailed in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, which includes ethical, physical, and psychological practices.  However, she has also wandered the paths of Qabalah, shamanism, esotericism, comparative religious studies and interspirituality, magic, martial arts, and mysticism.

J’aime’s present project has been co-founding a new Yoga and Mindfulness School at the incredibly beautiful La Buena Vibra compound in Tepoztlán, Morelos, Mexico. Here, she and her partner Yoga Archarya are developing a traditional Yoga and meditation program for serious students of Classic and Ashtanga Yoga including daily classes, retreats, teacher training programs, continuing education for Yoga teachers, and international level Yoga festivals and events.
